The Daily Show Wins 10th Consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series
After being tackled to the ground by fellow nominees Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart took to the Emmy stage last night, backed by his Daily Show cohorts, to accept the show’s tenth consecutive award in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series category.
A big, sincere congratulations goes out to the entire Daily Show staff on an amazing job well-done and for being in the truly rare and enviable position of now being able to play Emmy bowling.

A big congratulations to The Daily Show and Futurama’s Maurice LaMarche for their Creative Arts Emmy wins over the weekend!

TDS took home Best Writing for a Variety Series, while Maurice won Best Voice-Over Performance for his work on the episode “The Silence of the Clamps.”

The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Futurama and South Park Honored with Emmy Nominations!

The nominees for the 64th Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and while it’s disappointing that 1983’s Manimal was once again shunned (maybe next year!), I’m happy to report that Comedy Central racked up a total of twelve nods!
